Terms of Use

Hide Faces & Data · Pixelate · Effective 27 July 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Hide Faces & Data - Pixelate app for Apple devices, together with any related services operated by IE Artem Dorozhkin (collectively, the "Application"). IE Artem Dorozhkin is referred to as the "Service Provider". By downloading or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Application.

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Application. If you are below that age, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf. By using the Application, you represent that you are legally permitted to use it in your jurisdiction.

License to Use the Application

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on Apple devices that you own or control, for personal or internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Application, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The Service Provider retains all intellectual property rights in the Application, including its code, design, trademarks, logos and branding. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Service Provider's trademarks or branding. You agree not to remove, alter or obscure any proprietary notices displayed in the Application.

Your Photos and Your Content

Photos you open, edit and export with the Application are and remain entirely yours. All processing happens on your device: the Service Provider never receives, stores or has access to your images, and claims no rights in them. Because your content is never transmitted, no licence to it is granted to the Service Provider. Details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the images you process and for complying with applicable law when capturing, editing, storing or sharing them — including laws on privacy, personal data, image rights and copyright.

Important: Verify Redactions Before Sharing

The Application helps you obscure faces, documents, licence plates and other sensitive areas by pixelating, blurring or covering them. Automatic detection is a convenience feature and is not guaranteed to find every face or every piece of sensitive information in an image. Detection may miss content, and the strength of an effect you choose may leave content partly legible.

Before you share, publish or send an edited image, review the exported result yourself and confirm that everything you intended to hide is in fact unreadable. Consider also that image files can carry metadata (such as capture time or location) that is separate from the visible picture. The Service Provider gives no warranty that a redaction is irreversible or sufficient for any particular purpose, and accepts no liability for information that remains visible or recoverable in an image you export and share. Do not rely on the Application alone where disclosure would cause serious harm.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Application to violate any applicable law or the rights of others. In particular you must not use it to create misleading depictions presented as genuine, to conceal or alter material that you are legally required to preserve or disclose, to facilitate fraud, or to process images you have no right to possess or edit.

Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The Application offers Pixelate Pro, an auto-renewing subscription available in monthly and yearly options, which unlocks the full feature set. Prices are shown on the purchase screen before you buy and may vary by region.

All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Payment is charged upon confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the price shown unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. If a free trial or introductory offer is made available, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Deleting the Application does not cancel an active subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies.

Third-Party Services

The Application relies on Apple's App Store and in-app purchase infrastructure, and on the providers listed in the Privacy Policy for subscription management and anonymous product analytics. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and the Service Provider is not responsible for services it does not control.

Your Device

Image processing runs on your device and its speed and capability depend on your hardware. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for keeping your own backups of important images; jailbreaking or rooting your device may compromise its security and cause the Application to malfunction.

Updates, Changes and Availability

The Service Provider may update or modify the Application, and may change or discontinue features, at any time. Updates may be required for continued use, and support for earlier versions may cease. The Service Provider may also cease providing the Application entirely; upon termination of the service, the licences granted to you end and you should delete the Application from your devices. Any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you in advance.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The Service Provider does not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted or error-free, that automatic detection will be accurate or complete, or that any redaction will be secure against analysis. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be lawfully excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, loss of privacy or reputational harm arising from an image you export or share, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The Service Provider retains full liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. The total liability of the Service Provider for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Application in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount required by applicable law, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from claims, liabilities, damages and reasonable expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or intentional misuse of the Application. This does not apply to claims arising from the Service Provider's own negligence, breach of these Terms or violation of applicable law, and is limited in jurisdictions that restrict consumer indemnification.

Termination

The Service Provider may suspend your access if you materially breach these Terms, with written notice and a 14-day opportunity to cure where the breach is capable of cure. Access may be suspended or terminated immediately without notice for violations of applicable law, infringement of intellectual property rights, or activity that could harm other users or the Service Provider. Upon termination, your right to use the Application ends and you must delete all copies from your devices.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise. Disputes will be brought before the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law; nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have to bring a claim in a court that is competent under mandatory law.

Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, and the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider concerning the Application.

Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time and will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Previous versions are available upon request at iosappassistance@gmail.com.
